Salary: £26,710 - £36,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London Weighting is applicable for this role.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Leadership Schemes Advisor to be a first point of contact and manage administration of our Leadership Apprenticeship schemes delivery across the UK.

Main Responsibilities
  • Managing the logistical and administrative tasks associated with the Leadership Apprenticeship Schemes delivery across the UK and associated activity eg recruitment, promotion, on-boarding, learning and training.
  • Maintaining learning records and progress reports for all leadership apprentices including documenting any performance concerns.
  • Be first point of contact/problem solver for learners pastoral support and advice.
  • Assisting the Leadership Schemes Specialists/Team to manage schemes’ requirements, liaising with internal Team Leaders and external stakeholders eg Education Providers.
  • Acting as a point of contact/problem solver for BBC line managers who have a query about an apprentice.
  • Assisting BBC Talent Acquisition and Outreach colleagues with regard to talent attraction and initiatives, recruitment and assessment.
  • Assisting the Scheme Specialist and Scheme Portfolio Manager with promotion of the leadership staff apprenticeships across the BBC
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the Leadership Scheme.
Are you the right Candidate?

Essential:

  • Ability to manage BBC logistical, administrative systems (eg. travel and accommodation bookings and Microsoft packages such as Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Able to prioritise and complete tasks when faced with tight deadlines.
  • Appropriate knowledge of BBC policies, procedures, systems and guidelines, including health and safety and safeguarding.
  • Excellent organisational skills e.g. planning, organising, time management, performance reporting, review, etc.
  • Able to communicate concisely and with assurance to different audiences – both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong appreciation of future workforce/technology trends in leadership and skills profile of new joiners.
  • Strong judgement in terms of knowing when to deal with issues and when to refer up; able to use own initiative to problem solve.


Desirable:

  • Event management/presentational skills
  • Understanding of relevant BBC policies and procedures as they relate to developing apprentices.
  • Previous experience and commitment to young talent/or career development for existing staff
  • Understanding the specific challenges facing people who are new to the world of work, or those returning to study
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders within the business
  • Able to build credibility with in the divisions and externally.
  • Technical knowledge of apprenticeships.
