Our client, a leading land development firm, is actively seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer for immediate employment in Orlando, Florida.  Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare roadway plan set components, including plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets.
• Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare design documentation.
• General understanding of Preliminary drainage design, secondary drainage design, and analysis on roadway projects.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to develop creative solutions to design challenges.
• Coordinate with the design team and sub-consultants.
• Develop and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:

• 5-15 years of Roadway Design experience.
• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Exposure to and general understanding of the permitting process, codes, and criteria.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (Florida) preferred.
