Job Description Job Description Join our team as a Shipping I at PGT Custom Windows and Doors You'll work on A Shift and play a key role in preparing items for shipment, arranging products onto vehicles, and ensuring everything is packed safely and accurately. This is a hands-on role where teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work practices come first. If you enjoy staying active and contributing to a team that delivers quality results on time, this is the job for you Shift: C Shift Fi-Sun 5am-5pm Responsibilities:
Move freight, stock, and materials between storage, production, loading docks, and vehicles using proper equipment.
Apply safe ergonomic techniques to maneuver materials weighing 90+ lbs.
Scan labels to track product placement and shipments.
Work effectively with team members to meet company goals.
Compare packed items with customer orders to ensure accuracy.
Report missing, lost, or damaged materials immediately to Supervisor.
Complete storage, material flow, and shipment tasks while learning packaging needs.
Ensure all products are safely packed, labeled, and ready for shipping.
Move freight, stock, and materials between storage, production, loading docks, and vehicles using proper equipment.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.
Must understand shipping menus on AS400 and have product knowledge.
Comfortable operating conveyance equipment.
Reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled work.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 60-100 lbs unassisted; up to 200 lbs assisted; moving up to 500 lbs with dolly).
Able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
Logistical understanding and reasoning skills preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Able to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 60-100 lbs unassisted; up to 200 lbs assisted; moving up to 500 lbs with dolly).
Demonstrate safe use of material handling equipment.
Assist with training newly hired team members.
Follow safety/environmental procedures and wear PPE as required.
Install protective devices (bracing, padding, strapping) to secure materials in transit.
Perform accurate system transactions using scanners/computers.
Learn company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct to ensure compliance.
