Job Summary

Disney's Direct to Consumer's Content Acquisition team is seeking a Content Partnerships Manager to join our global licensing team. You will be an integral part of the Global Licensing Content team acquiring Anime content partners worldwide, participating in all stages of our acquisition process—tracking and evaluating programming opportunities, helping define our global licensing strategy through rigorous data analysis, and working cross‑functionally to amplify and grow the Anime content portfolio for DTC. This role demands Anime expertise and the ability to create actionable insights that drive change at a breakneck pace.

What You’ll Do
  • Evaluate potential content and partnership opportunities and analyze market, social media, and competitor trends to identify white space and competitive positioning.
  • Track and vet new content for quality, appeal, and fit with our programming strategies.
  • Serve as the internal anime content expert for ad‑hoc cross‑functional initiatives and special projects (e.g., podcast development).
  • Monitor and manage the upcoming anime slate.
  • Track content performance across all platforms (Hulu/US, Disney+/Regions, Crunchyroll, competitors).
  • Act as the primary CP contact for account management, coordinating with cross‑functional teams (Accounting, Marketing, Strategy, etc.) to ensure seamless partnership execution.
  • Lead post‑deal coordination with Ops, Marketing, PR, and OCM to ensure successful content launches.
  • Create high‑impact materials (priority decks, one‑sheets, hype content) to drive alignment and excitement across leadership, Marketing, PR, and OCM teams.
What to Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience at a major media company or consulting firm/investment bank, anime content knowledge with a strong understanding of audience trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Understanding of multicultural content and how to serve diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving and fast‑paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and know when to elevate issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cultural fluency and understanding of global & multicultural content, anime ecosystem knowledge.
  • Firsthand complex deal‑making experience with Anime content licensing.
Compensation

The hiring range for this position in California is $126,800.00 - $170,000.00 per year. The base pay will be determined based on internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
