Location: Hudson, OH
Pay: $22-$28/hr. 
Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00pm-6:30am 

Overview

A growing precision manufacturing operation in the Hudson, OH area is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to support machining operations across CNC mills and lathes. This role focuses on producing high-quality machined components in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on operator with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in producing defect-free parts and contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce machined components to specification
  • Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments (offsets) following training
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Document production and quality data using data collection sheets and ERP system (Navision)
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards and follow defined inspection intervals
  • Identify and report quality or process issues, working with quality team as needed
  • Use hand tools for deburring and finishing operations
  • Move materials and finished goods using pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience (mills and/or lathes)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and process documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators)
  • Forklift / tow motor experience
  • Exposure to CMM or advanced inspection equipment
  • Experience with ERP systems (Navision or similar)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling tools and parts
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, moving machinery, and temperature changes
  • Work environment ranges from moderate to loud noise levels

Schedule & Expectations

  • Full-time position; shift and hours determined by production needs
  • Overtime may be required based on workload and deadlines
  • Strong attendance and punctuality are critical to success in this role
