Job Description

Tower Studios is hiring a reliable, experienced Wedding Videographer to film weddings in the St. Louis / Metro East area (and occasionally surrounding regions). This is a shooting-only role—no editing. You’ll capture high-quality footage and audio according to our shot checklist and timeline, then deliver all original files to our team via hard driveor secure FTP upload.

What you’ll do

• Film wedding day coverage (prep, ceremony, portraits, reception, key moments)
• Capture clean, usable audio (lav/recorder setup when needed; we’ll provide guidance)
• Follow a shot list and communicate with our lead (photo/video) to stay on schedule
• Maintain consistent exposure, focus, and stable footage throughout the day
• Safely back up footage and deliver media promptly after the event

Requirements

• Prior wedding videography experience (or strong event videography experience)
• Comfortable filming in fast-paced, real-world lighting conditions
• Professional on-site presence: punctual, calm under pressure, team-friendly
• Able to handle long wedding-day coverage (often 8–12 hours)
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally
• Ability to transfer large files to us (hard drive handoff or FTP upload)
• Must be available primarily weekends (Fridays/Saturdays; some Sundays)

Gear (a plus, not required)

Having your own gear is a big plus, but we can provide a full kit if needed.

Preferred if you have your own:

• 4K-capable camera + lenses
• Stabilization (gimbal/monopod/tripod)
• Audio gear (lav/recorder, on-camera mic)
• Extra batteries/media

Nice to have

• Multi-camera ceremony coverage experience
• Experience working alongside a photo team
• Ability to follow direction and anticipate moments independently

Pay & Scheduling

• Freelance / contract, per-wedding pay
• Opportunities for repeat work throughout the season
• Pay depends on experience, role (solo shooter vs. second shooter), and gear provided
