Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Las Vegas, NM!This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.Details:
  • Location: Las Vegas, NM
  • Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
  • Must be available on weekends
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!
Qualifications:
  • Active New Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (in good standing) or compact license
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to pass a strict background check
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
  • Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
  • Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
  • Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
