Landis Evans + Partners, an established (45+ year) award-winning Civil Engineering firm, is seeking a highly organized and motivated professional to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment. This is a full-time or part-time in-person position based in our Tampa office, in the heart of the vibrant Carrollwood/Northdale business district, reporting to our Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, talents, and skills:
Accredited college B.A. or B.S degree
Strong writing/editing and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (pivots, lookups, charting); working knowledge of PowerPoint, and all Microsoft Office products
Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to understand, learn, navigate, use, and be proficient in financial software and employee performance reporting
Ability to work with a variety of individuals including clients, subconsultants/vendors, employees and applicants
Enjoy the responsibility and rigor of “wearing many hats”
Typical Responsibilities:
Compose and edit reports in MS Word (or occasionally, with InDesign)
Assist Financial Controller and project managers with project set up in accounting software
Enter accounting transactions (e.g. Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, credit card receipts, subconsultant & vendor invoices with supporting documentation, etc.)
General administrative tasks (e.g. Respond to emails, answer phone calls, welcome visitors and clients)
Manage Aged Receivables
Organize catering (both office locations, Tampa, and downtown Orlando - remotely), coffee, snacks and other refreshments
Monitor and maintain office equipment and office supplies
Coordinate building and maintenance issues for general repair and updates with Landlords.
Assist with insurance renewals: Business, Auto, Workman’s Comp., Professional Liability, Key Person, Group Health, Dental & Eye, Cyber Liability, etc.) and maintain portal(s)
Track / Maintain licenses and certifications for Corporate and Key Staff (e.g. State, City & County renewals, P.E.)
Assist with Employee on-boarding and maintain electronic / hard copy of employee’s information
