Lazy Sister is a Chinese restaurant celebrating regional Chinese flavors paired with unique cocktails, wines, and beers. Rooted in hospitality and a love of great food, Lazy Sister offers guests a vibrant dining experience where memorable flavors and warm service come together. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our South Norwalk location team, uphold our standards, and help grow the Lazy Sister brand. As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, strong financial performance, and a positive culture for both guests and staff. You’ll play a hands-on role in training, scheduling, inventory management, and guest relations while working closely with the management team to achieve long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support front- and back-of-house teams to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, training, and floor leadership.
• Oversee financial performance: labor, COGS, inventory, and cost controls.
• Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and resolving issues promptly.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff to build a strong, cohesive team.
• Customer Relationship Management: Provide timely and empathetic responses to general inquiries. Develop a customer feedback loop to inform operational improvements and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Partner with the management team on strategic initiatives, events, and community engagement.
• Uphold company policies, compliance, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service or upscale dining environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Proven ability to manage staff performance and financial targets.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, scheduling, and inventory tools.
