Respire Homecare Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Liaison who is responsible for assessing patient and client respiratory equipment needs and ensuring the appropriate selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of equipment and services. This role serves as a key clinical and communication link between patients, families, physicians, referral sources, and internal departments to ensure high-quality, compliant, and compassionate respiratory care in the home setting. *Responsibilities and Duties:* * Comply with all company policies, procedures, patient protocols, government regulations, and professional standards related to patient care * Assess patient/client needs and determine the most appropriate respiratory equipment and/or services * Involve patients, family members, and caregivers in the equipment selection process * Instruct patients/clients on the proper use, care, and safety of prescribed respiratory equipment in accordance with written policies and procedures * Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition or needs and implement appropriate adjustments to the Plan of Care/Treatment * Complete and maintain all required patient documentation, including assessments and Plans of Care/Treatment, in accordance with Advent Home Medical policy * Act as a liaison between the company and patients, families, caregivers, physicians, referral sources, and other healthcare agencies * Conduct and participate in educational meetings and seminars for healthcare professionals, patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and community members * Assist in resolving immediate or emergency respiratory equipment issues * Perform preventive maintenance, required service checks, and patient/environmental assessments during scheduled home visits * Monitor respiratory supply levels and place replenishment orders as approved by the Sr. Warehouse Manager * Participate in on-call rotation during non-business hours in accordance with company policy * Maintain and expand technical knowledge of respiratory products and services offered by the company * Educate company employees on respiratory equipment features, benefits, and safety considerations * Participate in ongoing professional education to maintain competency in current and emerging respiratory care techniques and DME services * Maintain current licensure in all states where patient care is provided * Facilitate communication and collaboration between referral sources and internal departments * Represent and market the company in a positive, professional manner * Assume full responsibility for personal professional conduct, skills, and performance *Education & Licensure* * Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program * RCP or RRT preferred * Current licensure required in all states where patient care is provided *Required Skills & Abilities* * Two (2) years of hospital-based respiratory care experience preferred * One (1) year of home care experience preferred * Strong knowledge and clinical skills in respiratory care * Ability to supervise and guide clinical personnel * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build constructive working relationships * People-focused approach with a genuine desire to help others * Effective oral and written communication skills * Basic computer proficiency * Working knowledge of insurance requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance *Other Duties* This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or activities.
