At Ama, the Server role is the heart of our dining room. This position requires the grace, warmth, and technical skill of a seasoned server, paired with the curiosity to continually deepen your craft. As a Server at Ama, you will guide guests through an intentional dining journey that celebrates northern Italian food, wine, and hospitality. While your core focus is evening service, this role also provides the opportunity to learn a breadth of skills across barista, cocktail, and wine service — working with authentic Italian coffees, expertly crafted cocktails, and some of the finest northern Italian wines available outside of Italy.

• Greet and guide guests with warmth, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
• Share the sourcing, craftsmanship, and sustainability stories behind Ama’s menu.
• Execute polished steps of service, tailoring recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction and increase check averages.
• Build lasting guest relationships through storytelling, product knowledge, and confident salesmanship.

• Maintain expert knowledge of Ama’s food and beverage program, with emphasis on northern Italian wine and cocktails.
• Anticipate guest preferences and provide thoughtful pairings that elevate the dining experience.
• Apply upselling techniques across food, beverage, and retail offerings to drive nightly sales.
• Support beverage service by learning barista techniques and cocktail preparation to Ama standards.

• Deliver all steps of service with consistency, accuracy, and attention to pacing.
• Balance multiple tables and high-volume floor flow with grace under pressure.
• Anticipate guest and table needs before they arise.
• Collaborate with the bar and kitchen to ensure seamless coordination and speed.

• Arrive prepared with mise en place complete and service areas set for success.
• Communicate effectively across FOH and BOH teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Support private dining, tastings, and special service experiences that showcase Ama’s brand.
• Model professionalism, mentorship, and a spirit of hospitality for the entire team.

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a server in a casual or casual fine-dining environment.
• Skills: Salesmanship, storytelling, guest connection, multitasking, and polished steps of service.
