Server Job Summary

As the primary point of contact for guests in the dining room, the Server is responsible for guiding the dining experience through product knowledge, hospitality, and efficient execution.

This role requires confidence, urgency, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate can manage multiple tables during peak service, maintain organization under pressure, and create a welcoming, upbeat guest experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and professionally
  • Guide guests through menu selections with strong food and beverage knowledge
  • Take and enter food and beverage orders accurately using POS system
  • Communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests clearly
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently
  • Manage multiple tables while maintaining service standards
  • Process payments and ensure accurate check handling
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth service flow
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and stay informed on menu features
  • Assist with side work, cleaning, and resetting tables
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred for alcohol service)
  • 2+ years restaurant experience preferred (high-volume experience strongly preferred)
  • BASSET certification required (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with POS systems
  • Must be available nights, weekends, and game days
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
