Administrative Assistant
Position Purpose and Objectives
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the VP of Human Resources on all the day-to-day operations, functions, and duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with new employee background checks and onboarding.
- Assists with recruitment and interview scheduling.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by VP of HR.
- Makes photocopies, faxes documents, and performs other clerical functions.
- Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence.
- Prepares new employee files.
- Assist with employee related events.
- Administrative duties may vary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Skills in database management and record keeping.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Advanced/Intermmediate Excel skill required.
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Working Conditions
- In an office environment.
- In-office; 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
- An Associates Degree is required.
- Previous Human Resources experience is welcomed.
- Previous Accounting experience is welcomed.
