Pratt Visual Solutions in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a Screen PrintingPress Lead Operator to provide leadership to team members and coordination of press team activities to facilitate the safe, timely and accurate completion of print jobs. Ensures adherence to safety and quality assurance standards and standard operating procedures. Performs all data collection and reporting activities for press operations on appropriate shift. Operates the press, performs basic maintenance on equipment, assures changeover procedures are followed and trains team members on press team duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Promotes safety by assuring that all staff members work safely and comply with safety expectations.
• Assures excellent housekeeping and drives 5S.
• Promotes quality by making recommendations to improve quality, implement corrective action, proactively corrects non-conforming work, routinely leads root cause analysis and implements proofing.
• Drives urgency by demonstrating relentless and urgent activity to assure the continuous operation of equipment.
• Champions continuous improvement by generating new ideas and the execution of improvement action items.
• Demonstrates effective communication through participation in presentations and meetings.
• Supports the efforts of the team by actively offering ideas to solve problems and improve workflow.
• Follows all standard work policies and models behaviors that promote policy compliance through actions such as consistently reporting to work on time, exhibiting readiness for work, and returning promptly from breaks.

Requirements

1. Must be able to perform the following ERP system operations:
   • Find and print the appropriate job ticket in Epicor.
   • Interpret the job ticket for job specifications and materials needed.
   • Consistently and accurately clock in and out of jobs in Epicor.
2. Must be able to perform the following Data Collection operations in Press Tracking database:
   • Consistently and accurately records data in all appropriate fields (press, data, job number, number of prints, amount of waste) for each and every job.
3. Must be able to calculate, record and document percentage of waste on each job at the end of the shift.
   • Data is reported on the Schedule Attainment Board.
   • Summary Sheets are placed on the Sunrise Boards.

4. Exhibits clear understanding of, and ability to perform, all Screen Prep activities.

1. Is capable of performing all duties associated with Operations of the Press.
2. Troubleshoots the Press
3. Demonstrates an understanding of Color and Ink Technologies
