Job Description Job Description Summary: Industrial Designers specialize in enhancing product designs for manufacturing, focusing on usability and practicality. Their role involves collaborating with mechanical engineers to create products that are not only visually appealing but also customer and installer friendly. By fostering teamwork within a group of mechanical engineers, Industrial Designers contribute to the development of high-quality products, ensuring a competitive advantage within the industry. Responsibilities: - Lead product design, improvements, and testing to enhance functionality and user-friendliness. - Collaborate with teams to seamlessly integrate designs and conduct thorough testing. - Utilize reverse engineering to analyze existing products and create accurate draft drawings. - Identify opportunities for innovation in both new and existing product lines. - Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies through market research. - Investigate and address reported product faults by collaborating with relevant teams. - Develop effective solutions and design modifications for improved product performance. - Collect user feedback to inform design decisions and collaborate with the business development team to understand market demands and trends. Must Haves: · Proficiency in CAD Software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Autodesk) · Technical Knowledge on Hardware Mechanics · MS Office Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) · 3D Modelling and Animation Video Creation · Problem-Solving/Analytical · Effective verbal and written communication Education and Experience: · Minimum of 2 years Industrial/Product Designing experience Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
