Journeyman Commercial Electrician

 

About the Position

Amanti Electric LLC is seeking an experienced Journeyman Commercial Electrician to join our field team in Tucson, Arizona.

We perform strictly commercial electrical work. We are looking for someone dependable, motivated and able to complete quality electrical installations with limited supervision.

This position offers the opportunity to continue learning, take on additional responsibility and advance into a Foreman or other leadership position as our company grows.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial lighting, power distribution, branch circuits, feeders, panels, transformers and electrical equipment.
  • Measure, bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, PVC and other commercial raceway systems.
  • Pull, identify and terminate conductors.
  • Perform grounding and bonding in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Read and work from electrical plans, specifications, one-lines and panel schedules.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Work safely, maintain productivity and produce neat, code-compliant installations.
  • Coordinate with Foremen, Apprentices and other construction trades.
  • Help guide and train Apprentices when assigned.
  • Properly use and maintain company tools, equipment and materials.

 

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of verifiable commercial electrical construction experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical methods and materials.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read commercial electrical plans and specifications.
  • Strong conduit-bending and installation skills.
  • Ability to make terminations and troubleshoot common electrical problems.
  • Ability to work independently while following the direction of a Foreman or Project Manager.
  • Dependable attendance and professional communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback and grow within the company.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and crouch throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely work from ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing jobsite conditions, including Arizona heat.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.

 

OSHA training, lift certifications, trade-school education and experience directing Apprentices are preferred but not required.
