We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Residential Electrician/ NEW CONSTRUCTION to oversee and execute electrical projects within residential settings. Must be able to to work in Cookeville-Gordonsville. This role involves leading a team of electricians, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, and delivering high-quality electrical work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive electrical knowledge, and a passion for problem-solving. Duties

  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians on residential electrical projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install or repair electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and ELECTRICAL systems across various residential properties.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building codes for safety and quality assurance.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project managers to plan installation schedules and address any on-site challenges promptly.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to verify safety standards are met and prepare documentation for inspections or permits as required.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with residential electrical systems, combined with knowledge of commercial or industrial electrician practices, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans; familiarity with low-voltage systems and high-voltage applications.
  • Strong understanding of the NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations for safe electrical installations.
  • Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for construction site work.
  • Experience working on renovation projects or new construction sites with a focus on framing carpentry or maintenance person tasks is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate testing devices like ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently using schematics.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, and low voltage wiring is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed schematics for complex wiring systems.
