Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Uses AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to develop various drawings (e.g., plans and details).

· Should have basic understanding of construction methods and practices with previous experience in the construction field.

· Drawing of details from various perspectives, such as plan view and profile views as necessary.

· Basic understanding of the UCS, use of x-refs, use of provided surveys and point files.

· Plan Set set-up, organization and sheet layout.

· Completes computations and designs in CAD software.

· Completes finished drawings and graphics for submittals to clients.

· Checks drawings for completeness and accuracy.

· Assists with development and maintenance of CAD standards.

· Other duties as requested.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

· Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school

· 2-4 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Experienced with AutoCADD, Civil 3D, and similar software.

· Experience working with multiple discipline projects.

· Good mathematical skills and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.

· Comprehensive understanding of design, construction, and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, and 3D computer model work utilizing raster, vector, and point data.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Must be able to function as part of a project team.

· Ability to work with minimal direction.

· Performs tasks with basic input and guidance from others, using independent thinking skills and strong mechanical aptitude to complete tasks.

· Must understand basic principles of project/budget management.
