Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Position

PeerCorps Staffing is currently seeking compassionate and motivated Youth Peer Advocates (YPA) who already hold a Provisional Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) Credential issued through Families Together in NYS.

As a Youth Peer Advocate, you will use your lived experience to empower, mentor, and support youth and their families while working alongside behavioral health professionals.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Provisional Youth Peer Advocate (YPA) Credential (Required)
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about supporting youth and families
  • Be able to work professionally within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in peer support, behavioral health, social services, or youth services
  • Reliable transportation
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer support services to youth and families.
  • Share lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and recovery.
  • Assist youth in identifying strengths and achieving personal goals.
  • Collaborate with care teams and community providers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in required trainings and supervision.
