Job DescriptionThe Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for operating MRI equipment, preparing patients for testing, and maintaining safety and quality control checks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
- Adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
- Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Perform daily safety and quality control checks for the system.
- Send images to PACS for interpretation.
Qualifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) training are required. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
