Dental Assistant - Pearl Family Dental

Location: Fredericksburg
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Salary: $18-$22 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant at Pearl Family Dental, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental care. You’ll work closely with our dentist and staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Take dental X-rays.
• Provide chairside support, including suction, retraction, and material preparation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records using dental software.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of chairside experience is required.
• X-ray certification required (or willingness to obtain within 1 week).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• CPR certification is a plus.
