Responsibilities
UNC Rex Hospital
Founded in 1894, UNC REX Healthcare (a member of UNC Health Care) is a private, not-for-profit health care system that joined UNC Health Care in 2000. In addition to a 660-bed facility in Raleigh, UNC Rex also offers a range of health care services at locations across Wake County. These include 5 wellness centers, 6 suburban campuses, freestanding outpatient diagnostic urgent care and surgery centers, and 2 skilled nursing facilities focusing on rehabilitation and long-term nursing care.
About the Community
Raleigh, Wake County, is the capital of the state of North Carolina. It is the second largest city in the state, slightly behind Charlotte. The current 2020 population of Raleigh is 1,444,000, a 4.18% increase from 2019. Raleigh is centrally located to the mountains or beach within a couple of hours and hosts all 4 seasons. Meeting the Board Certification in Infectious Disease required. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Board Certified Infectious Diseases
DEA; BLS; MD/DO, NCMB
Professional Experience Requirements:
Prefer prior inpatient experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
REASONING ABILITY
High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
