Prostar Mining is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Underground Long Hole Driller to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating long hole drilling equipment to execute precise drilling patterns for long hole production stopes. This position requires technical expertise, a strong commitment to safety, and experience in underground operations. Key Responsibilities:
* Operate long hole drilling rigs to achieve specified drilling patterns and depths.
* Interpret and follow drill plans, layouts, and instructions provided by supervisors or engineers.
* Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of drilling equipment.
* Collaborate with the underground team to ensure drilling operations align with overall project goals.
* Monitor drilling progress and adjust operations to meet quality and safety standards.
* Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and communicate concerns effectively to maintenance teams.
* Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, equipment usage, and material consumption.
* Adhere strictly to company and industry safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of underground long hole drilling experience.
* Certifications: Current Underground Metal/Non-Metal MSHA 5000-23
* Strong understanding of underground mining or tunneling operations.
* Familiarity with various long hole drill rigs and associated tools (e.g., Simba, Cubex, or Sandvik).
* Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding and challenging environment. xkmhxrz
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
Highly Desirable:
* Sandvik Long Hole Drilling Experience
* Underground Long Hole Open Stoping Experience
* Experience Drilling Up and Down Hole Raises
