We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager - Partnerships to join our team. This role focuses on providing account management support for newly acquired accounts, fostering trusted relationships with key decision-makers, and driving the growth of our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic account plans. This position requires excellent communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Focus on delivering exceptional support to new partnerships and accounts to sell the company's products and standard services.
  • Establish and nurture trusted relationships with key decision-makers within customer accounts.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their needs, gather feedback, and communicate the value of the company's products, services, and solutions.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of customers' organizations, business goals, and challenges to better address their needs.
  • Gather and document information about customers' key leaders/decision-makers, including their roles, perspectives, and styles.

Customer-Centric Solutions & Business Development:

  • Identify signals that customers may need additional products or services and navigate internal channels to address these needs.
  • Help customers explore and understand their broader business challenges and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Support the interpretation of data to assess the performance of products, services, and solutions against customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create key performance indicators (KPIs) and use dashboards to monitor and assess team performance.

Industry Knowledge & Competitive Analysis:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry, including market trends, economic challenges, and competitive dynamics.
  • Gather and analyze data on competitors' products, services, pricing, and marketing strategies.
  • Build a broad understanding of industry products/services and their applications, distinguishing the pros, cons, and implications of various options.

Contract Management & Negotiation:

  • Assist customers in understanding the company's standard contracts, terms, and conditions.
  • Partner with legal resources to develop appropriate contract terms for simple agreements.
  • Seek guidance from senior staff to negotiate short-term or straightforward contracts.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Actively listen to customers and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding.
  • Use non-verbal cues and body language to demonstrate attentiveness and interest during interactions.
  • Offer alternatives and suggestions to address differences and find common ground in negotiations.
  • Collaborate within the team to resolve issues, influence outcomes, and achieve shared goals.

Professional Networking & Development:

  • Participate in industry associations and networking opportunities to meet new prospects and expand professional connections.
  • Stay informed about industry issues, trends, and challenges to better serve customers and identify opportunities.
