We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant/Bookkeeper to oversee our financial audits and ensure compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Key Responsibilities:
    • Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
    • Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, receipts, and documentation for all transactions.
    • Budget Support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Compliance Assurance: Ensure financial practices comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Tax Support: Assist with preparation and organization of financial data for tax filings and work with external tax professionals as needed.
    • Software Management: Use financial software such as QuickBooks Online to manage company accounts and generate reports.
    • Internal Controls: Help implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong background in inventory management, including accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of accuracy in record-keeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and dependably in a remote setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CB) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a startup or technology-driven environment is a plus, though not essential.
