Now Hiring: Multiple Positions for New Cafe/Bar Opening in April

Bar Ferdinando is the fourth Brooklyn restaurant from Chef Sal Lamboglia and managing partner Giovanna Cucolo, since 2022. This is an exciting new opening in the heart of Carroll Gardens—rooted in integrity, generosity, and kindness.

We are hands-on owners who work alongside our team every day, committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented workplace. Our goal is to provide meaningful work experiences, balanced schedules, and opportunities to grow with us.

We are currently looking for a morning Baker for our kitchen team. This concept will focus on high-quality, house-made food presented thoughtfully. 

 

Lunchtime Cafe: Sandwiches made with fresh, in-house baked bread, small plates, salads, and a selection of daily-made pastries. 

Evening & Bar: We will be serving food all day in addition to our evening cocktail menu, snacks, and desserts at night. 

 

About The Position

  • This is a full time morning baking position. We are looking for someone who has experience baking multiple kinds of pastries and bread. 
  • The menu will consist of house-made focaccia, brioche, doughnuts, cookies, and a few other pastries and desserts for the evening menu. 
  • Experience with dough fermentation and pastry production is preferred. 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must work cleanly, be organized, and be open to feedback. 
  • Must have the ability to multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities with the morning bake. 
  • We are looking for people who are adaptable and flexible because this is a new, evolving concept. 
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are a must! 
  • Scheduling and days off may change as we get closer to opening.
