We are a growing specialty bakery in the East Village (Red Beard Coffee & Bakery) focused on artisan pastries, laminated doughs, and Mediterranean-inspired flavors. We are looking for someone to assist in daily production, who wants to grow and learn.
Compensation:
We pay in the range of $20-$22 per hour, details discussed on entry.
Job Description:
- Assisting with daily pastry and bakery production including following recipes and production schedules accurately
- Preparing and baking croissants, danishes, borek, cookies, and other specialty pastries/ breads
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- Supporting seasonal menu and flavor development
- 5 days a week/ 8hr days (schedule to be discussed)
Qualifications:
- Previous professional baking experience required - need to know how to make and work with laminated and enriched dough
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and also part of a team
- Punctual and takes pride in their work
