Bon Secours is hiring an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join our high-performing cardiovascular surgery team at St. Mary s Hospital in Richmond, VA. This role is focused on providing advanced care to adult patients across the full surgical continuum.Position Details:Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PMCall: 1:4 1:6 (weekend rounds + first call Fri 5 PM Mon 7 AM)Setting: Inpatient & outpatient clinic
Patient Volume: 5 10/day (ages 21+)Procedures: Chest tube and pacing wire removal, IABP management
Growth/Development: Opportunities for professional growth, continued education and involvement in groundbreaking procedures
Responsibilities:Preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative management of cardiac surgery patients
Perform physical exams, order/interpret diagnostics, manage recovery
Educate patients and families; participate in ERAS and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:Active VA NP license and AGACNP certification1+ year of cardiac surgery NP experience preferred
