Practice in beautiful Sarasota Florida surrounded by Sunshine and Sand. Our wonderful OBGYN practice is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team! If you are patient focused and believe in providing outstanding evidence-based care to your patients, then call us today. We currently have two Physicians and two Certified Nurse Midwives. The call will be 1:3 to 1:4 covering just 1 practice of lower-risk obstetrics of about 35-40 deliveries per month. The doctors have supported and worked with midwives most of their career and you can practice midwifery knowing you have doctors who support and believe in your role. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years' experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife or at the very least prior labor and delivery RN experience. We deliver at one hospital (Lakewood Ranch Medical Center) which has plans and is in the final stages to open a level 2 NICU. The Women's Center is a newer freshly redesigned women's facility that the patient's absolutely love. The labor, peds, and NICU nurses all have experience, usually about 5 years or more in order to work there. Our doctors are readily available for any high-risk deliveries or patients that present to the hospital not in your scope.
