*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized therapeutic services to patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home health, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. This role involves developing personalized care plans, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supporting patients with diverse needs such as disabilities, geriatrics, pediatrics, and neurological conditions. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal recovery and independence for patients of all ages. *Duties* * Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop effective treatment plans * Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility * Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient goals in various settings including acute care, outpatient clinics, schools, and post-acute care facilities * Conduct discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transition between care levels * Work with patients with autism, disabilities, geriatrics, pediatrics, and those requiring early intervention or occupational health services * Collaborate with speech therapists, physiotherapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care * Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment usage * Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and update care plans accordingly * Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed *Requirements* * Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist * Proven experience working in inpatient settings such as ICU or acute care units is preferred * Experience with post-acute care including skilled nursing facilities and home health is advantageous * Background working with diverse populations including pediatrics (school-based or early intervention), geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or neurological conditions * Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and case management principles * Familiarity with speech therapy collaboration is a plus * Ability to develop comprehensive care plans aligned with patient needs and goals * Strong communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration * Ability to work in fast-paced environments such as outpatient clinics or inpatient units This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert therapeutic interventions.
