Civil Site Construction Project Manager
Role Overview
The Civil Site Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of civil site development projects from preconstruction handoff through closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and execute civil site projects including earthwork, utilities, paving, and commercial/municipal development.
Develop and maintain project schedules and work plans.
Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
Coordinate materials, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment.
Lead project teams and conduct site meetings with owners, engineers, inspectors, and internal staff.
Review and track plan and field changes and communicate updates to all necessary parties.
Identify risks, conflicts, and constructability issues and drive timely solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety programs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform site inspections and address technical or field issues as they arise.
Provide clear, consistent communication and reporting to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience in construction (civil construction preferred).
Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and cost control.
Ability to read, interpret, and manage plans, specifications, and contracts.
Experience managing projects in Volusia County or Central Florida preferred.
Proficiency with project management tools (Procore preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
