Overview

Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For over the last ten years we have built a high volume food service, catering and delivery business. We remain committed to providing better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community, while pursuing a vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. During the COVID pandemic we served NYC City Agencies and non-profit agencies throughout NYC to support the underserved.

What You’ll Do

MUST HAVE VALID US DRIVERS LICENSE

• Read BEOs (order sheets) and pick and pack daily deliveries based on the BEOs
• Perform pre-trip inspections of BEO and loaded product to ensure order accuracy
• Transport and deliver client orders according to a predetermined route and schedule
• Notify Dispatch Coordinator of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage
• Work outdoors in a cold environment that averages 30F daily
• Identify products to ensure correct items in satisfactory condition are loaded and unloaded at client locations
• Accurately and efficiently pick orders, placing them in totes, boxes, and crates
• Rotate stock and inspect expiration dates; report items nearing expiration
• Receive and verify deliveries and locate proper pick locations
• Perform end-of-shift tasks such as trash and cardboard removal, sweeping, cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing for the next day
• Occasionally drive company vehicles to ensure timely delivery of all orders
• Comply with all company policies, safety, personal hygiene (GMPs), operational methods and food safety guidelines

Who You Are

• You possess a VALID state-issued license
• Responsible driver with a clean driving record in the past 3 years
• Must have Food Handlers Certification (Required)
• Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods
• A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and extreme attention to detail
• Experience working on teams and a team player
• Interest in being part of a growing company with a fresh take on pre-packaged meals

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4-6 hour shifts between 3:00 AM and 5:00 PM
