The role of an E-Commerce System Administrator is to provide senior oversight and expertise regarding the overall eco-system supporting the online environment including the infrastructure, web, middleware, and database layers and their interactions. The E-Commerce Systems Administrator is also responsible for resolving issues and recommending improvements for site viability. This will involve developing detailed recommendations, design, strategies, auditing, and consultation with other departments to resolve system issues. The position will meet regularly with other areas of IT to determine technology requirements, offer advice and perform implementations. This position also will act as a mentor to other team members.
The E-Commerce System Administrator is instrumental in building and managing complex information systems and IT infrastructure. This position will support the rest of the organization as well as require thought leadership to improve and innovate.
Duties and responsibilities:
Have a strong understanding of the principles and concepts of technical web applications for Family Farm and Home e-commerce vision.
Work with the identified project stakeholders and establish clear lines of communications.
Conduct reviews to gather user requirements via workshops,
questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases,
scenarios, and other methods.
Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing
requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or
further leveraging these processes.
Input to production of test cases, as well as running and designing testing processes to ensure features and functions have been
delivered to requirement specifications.
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency,
comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to the overall business architecture design.
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions around how they
will successfully execute their plans. Distinguish user requests from the
underlying true needs.
Utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements
specifications and to document swim lane based process flows.
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a
clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Develop and conduct reviews of the business requirements with the
stakeholders to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly
interpreted.
Assist project leaders with sponsor sign off of requirement.
Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options, and
communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
Communicate requested changes, enhancements, and modifications of
business requirements– verbally or through written documentation – to
project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and
solutions are understood and a change control process can be managed.
Any other tasks as reasonably required.
Position requirements:
Experience with fast moving and growing organizations, and/or that you
have experience working in retail organizations understanding the
priorities and nature of the services provided.
Experience with multiple eCommerce implementations/operations, and
preferably from that having experience with more than one eCommerce
platform/solution (e.g. ATG, Demandware,hybris, bespoke-build, Magento etc)
Have 3-4 years of experience with other eCommerce platform areas as it relates to payment, product data, order management, web analytics, content
management, promotions, search etc.
Experienced with the lifecycle in an agile / scrum environment, desirably
with experience also of traditional structured project delivery methodologies.
Knowledgeable about the latest in eCommerce solutions and who’s doing
what, and full of ideas about how the best in eCommerce can be achieved
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and critical and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills,
at multiple levels and across multiple disciplines.
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Additional skill sets needed:
Have several years of API development with web and operational application integrations.
Have more than a general understanding of Magento e-commerce suite of tools.
Have understanding of amnesty tools sets and addons within the Magento environment.
Have PIM experience, additional benefit if you have deployed Akeneo PIM.
Have been in a retail environment with Relex (inventory and replenishment) tools where used.
Have a high level understanding of databases and related data warehousing concepts.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science. xkmhxrz Equivalent work experience in the field will be considered.
