Job Description

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks an Environmental Field Technician in Cherry Point, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

• Performs groundwater-sampling duties.
• Handles operations and maintenance duties for environmental remediation systems.
• Records field notes for each specific task performed.
• Maintains equipment calibration logs.
• Performs general labor and construction activities.
• Handles other related duties assigned by the Field Services Manager.
• Follows GES engineering, construction, and O&M policies and procedures.
• Adheres to GES Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities.

Skills & Requirements:

• This position requires outdoor work, in all weather conditions, on a military base.
• A High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3+ years of related work experience. Previous experience performing fieldwork in the environmental consulting industry is highly desired.
• Electrical experience (installations, maintenance and/or repairs) is a plus, but not required to be considered.
• Previous military experience and/or experience working on the Cherry Point Military base is a plus.
• Electrical experience, mechanical skills, and/or a CDL license is a plus.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.
