Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist with various procedures. If you are passionate about oral health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Update and maintain patient records using Dentrix
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in CA
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
