About the Team

In Fraud Operations, we are constantly looking for ways to minimize and prevent fraudulent activity on the platform. Through continuous improvement and operational excellence, our Fraud Operations team protects the business and our customers from bad actors.

About the Role

The Fraud team is looking for a Fraud Production Specialist to reduce the cost of fraud and identify new vectors of abuse across the DoorDash Platform. As a Fraud Production Specialist at DoorDash, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our platform and user experience by proactively detecting, preventing, and mitigating fraudulent activities. In this dynamic and fast-paced position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to safeguard our users, partners, and company assets from various forms of fraud. You will grow familiar with our three audiences — Consumers, Dashers and Merchants, as you investigate fraudulent activity and collaborate with the team on solutions to reduce fraud in the long-term. Most importantly, you will help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while eliminating bad actors on the DoorDash platform.

At DoorDash, we believe in fostering a culture of meaningful connection, collaboration, and professional growth through in-office interactions. This position requires an in-office presence at the DoorDash corporate office in Tempe and the employee must live within a commutable 50 miles from the office. In-office days are determined by the business and can change based on business needs. This role operates on a set schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. It also includes a twice-monthly in-office requirement: once on the Thursday of the first full week of each month, and again on the third Thursday of the month. These in-office days are intended to foster collaboration, support team connection, and align on key priorities.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Fraud Detection: Utilize internal tools, SOPs, and KB's to identify and review potential fraud across the DoorDash platform. This includes reviewing transactional activity, resolving fraud-related escalations, responding to system-generated alerts, and flagging unusual user behavior.
  • Risk Mitigation: Help reduce platform risk by completing work from multiple fraud queues from all three lines of business applying established guidelines to contain known fraud types. Your timely and accurate case handling supports the broader fraud response effort.
  • Resourcefulness: Work across a variety of queues that change as fraud trends evolve. You'll adapt to shifting priorities, apply feedback, and stay up to date on team process updates to ensure quality and consistency in your work.
  • Communication: Proficient with written and verbal communication. Maintain clear and accurate case notes that follow team standards. Collaborate with peers and leadership to surface questions, confirm next steps, or escalate unusual patterns when needed to ensure consistency and alignment.
We're excited about you because…
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of operational experience (Fraud, Banking, Financial experience preferred)
  • Experience working on multiple, concurrent work streams, with an emphasis for details
  • Adept technical ability. You are comfortable navigating multiple screens, using multiple systems, and creating your own shortcuts
  • Prior use of data analysis, in an operations setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google Suite of products
  • You have experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, and Confluence
  • You're focused on quality, and output motivated and can dig into the lowest level of detail to understand what is driving a problem and summarize essential takeaways
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills. You find the right balance of data and common sense to problem solve, and think creatively when we have incomplete information.
  • High school diploma or GED
