Nursing Assistant Job Summary The role of a nursing assistant is to provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in long-term care facilities. Key responsibilities include assisting with basic health needs, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs.Provides psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. Assists the resident in transferring,repositioning,and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment. Completes tasks related to food preparationand dining,creating a positive dining experience for the resident .The NA aids providersandnursing staff memberswith proceduresif needed.Documentsresident interactionsasneededandthe outcomesrelatedtoreresidentcarebehavioractivityandsupplementsasadocumentationrequirementofprovidingsupporttotheresidents.
