Job Description:
The Head of Business Development will serve as a senior leader responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and shaping the firm’s go-to-market strategy. This sales forward role blends strategic sales leadership, relationship-driven business development, and oversight of marketing initiatives to position the firm as a premier architectural design and technology partner.
A significant portion of this role’s day-to-day work will be spent building and nurturing relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and developers to generate project opportunities and bring qualified deals to the firm for bidding. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) ecosystem, thrives in consultative selling environments, and can translate design and technology capabilities into compelling value propositions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and developers to consistently source new project opportunities
Spend the majority of day-to-day time networking, meeting, and following up with industry partners to bring deals to the firm for bid consideration
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive consistent revenue growth
Own the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through close and post-sale relationship management
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, verticals, and strategic partnerships
Oversee marketing efforts, including social media presence, branding initiatives, and creation of marketing brochures and materials
Collaborate with leadership to define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
Establish and track KPIs, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting
Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows
Mentor and potentially build out future sales and marketing team members
Qualifications:
7+ years of business development, sales, or growth leadership experience in architecture, engineering, construction, design, or technology-driven services
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Strong understanding of the AEC ecosystem and design-driven project sales cycles
Experience managing or overseeing marketing initiatives
Architecture or Engineering degree preferred
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
Comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment with autonomy
Proficient with CRM tools and sales reporting systems
Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help scale a growing firm
