Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help find an entry-level Help Desk Support Specialist to join its team. This position is onsite in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site IT support for incoming requests via phone, walk-ins, and scheduled visits during business hours (Monday-Friday).
- Troubleshoot and resolve diverse technical issues involving hardware, software, and peripherals; perform system installations and upgrades.
- Support key initiatives by migrating user data and settings to new devices.
- Manage the device lifecycle by imaging new systems and securely wiping old equipment for decommissioning and recycling.
- Assist with various technical tasks such as printer setup and repair, as well as basic network troubleshooting and support.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including IP configuration, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and printer/network device setup.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- 1-2 years' related experience
