Coverage Need
• Full-time coverage required
• 4 weeks per month
• Ongoing need due to physician retirement and provider relocations
Practice Details
• Outpatient, free-standing cancer center
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma Level III facility
• Join an established team of 3 physicians and 2 APPs
• Radiation Oncology support available on-site
Schedule
• 4 or 5 days per week
• Clinic hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
• Administrative day or half-day available as needed
Patient Volume & Case Mix
• Average outpatient volume: patients per day
• Approximately 80% Oncology and 20% Hematology
• Focus on timely evaluation of new solid tumor diagnoses, typically within one week of referral
• Most benign hematology cases are referred out
• Inpatient responsibilities limited to patients admitted for chemotherapy treatment
Call Coverage
• Shared call rotation of 1:4
• Seven days of call during assigned week, including one weekend
• Call ratio: 1 in 4
Requirements
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology
• Active state license preferred (or ability to obtain)
• Comfortable managing outpatient oncology and hematology patients
Credentialing
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 6 8 weeks
