JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license required
- Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 30 inpatient or outpatient encounters in past 12 months, or completion of hospital-affiliated accredited residency or fellowship
- Other Qualifications: Must provide three professional references who can attest to current clinical competence, ethics, and teamwork
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage for adult patients
- Admit, round, and discharge patients as assigned
- Collaborate with nursing staff and APPs for coordinated care
- Maintain thorough documentation in EMR
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and medical staff bylaws
- Participate in GO LIVE transition support if applicable
