BESTIA is a chef-driven multi-regional rustic Italian restaurant in Los Angeles focusing on a "from scratch" approach, offering house-made charcuterie, handmade pasta, and pizza made in an Acunto oven. It also specializes in a dessert menu that is centered around the freshest, most local ingredients possible.

We are currently looking for strong applicants to fill our HOST/HOSTESS position. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Warmly welcome and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
Effectively work the computerized seating and reservation system.
Seat guests based on preference and be mindful of customer flow in server stations.
Effective phone and email communication with guests.
Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Handle to go orders both over the phone and via third party delivery applications

Working Conditions and Expectations:

Availability to work evenings; restaurant open 7 nights a week.
Open Availability, 4 days a week
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners and staff.
Demonstrate teamwork in all areas of the restaurant
Work with a positive attitude in all types of situations
Ability to Multitask

Qualifications:

Customer service and/or restaurant experience preferred.
Organization, follow through and attention to detail
Superior Communication Skills
Food Handlers certificate required
Open Table experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (6- 8 hours) and work in a multiple level building.
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items that may weigh up to 15 pounds.
