Overview
Drive excellence across all aspects of human resources for Atlas Copco North America, Inc. Serve as a strategic business partner to leadership by advancing people initiatives, organizational effectiveness, process improvement, and compliance while delivering solutions that support business objectives and employee success.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders at all levels of the organization to develop and execute human resources strategies that support business objectives, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing guidance on employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, performance concerns, and other complex or sensitive workplace matters.
- Foster a positive employee experience through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, communication, events, and activities that support well‑being and organizational culture.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business leaders on workforce planning, compensation, budgeting, and organizational changes that impact business performance.
- Administer compensation programs and incentive plans, including salary planning, market analysis, job evaluation, pay equity reviews, and annual compensation processes to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Support payroll administration by ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee data, compensation changes, and other employment‑related transactions.
- Promote and support learning and development initiatives that align with the company’s Talent Framework and provide opportunities for employee and leadership growth.
- Coordinate immigration, employment eligibility, expatriate benefits, and global mobility activities in partnership with legal counsel, internal stakeholders, and external providers.
- Maintain workforce data, prepare people‑related reports and metrics, and analyze trends to support informed decision‑making and organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, company policies, and HR best practices. Recommend and implement changes as needed to mitigate risk and maintain compliance.
- Champion company values, culture, and organizational initiatives while serving as an ambassador for “The Way We Do Things.”
- Build strong working relationships across the organization, applying sound judgment, creativity, and problem‑solving skills to deliver practical HR solutions and positive business outcomes.
- Participate in leadership, business, and HR meetings and maintain current knowledge of employment law, regulatory developments, HR technologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent education combined with work experience in the field of Human Resources.
- HRCI or SHRM certification highly desired.
- Minimum 8 years of successful HR experience.
- Proven track record of functional and strategic management of Human Resources.
- Prior experience working in a matrix or decentralized organization is a plus.
