MercyOne Des Moines is composed of 4 central/southern Iowa Hospitals totaling 875 beds and managing 16 rural Hospitals. Our MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is a Level 2 Trauma 550 bed Hospital with a tertiary service area of 1.4 million and one of Iowas busiest Emergency Departments. We are a recipient of the Get with The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association and we are the only hospital in Iowa to receive the Gold Seal of Approval and Primary Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission.
