Do You Keep Complex Power Systems Steady?

If solving tough electrical problems is your calling, this role puts you at the center of an advanced industrial operation. You’ll ensure reliable energy, stable automation, and ready-to-run backup power across a busy facility.

What You’ll Tackle

• Troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical infrastructure
• Operate and care for switchgear, panels, and distribution equipment
• Work on high-voltage systems at 208V, 480V, and higher
• Resolve PLC issues by tracing I/O, sensors, and fault codes; adjust ladder logic as needed
• Maintain generators and verify transfer switch readiness
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and single-line drawings
• Keep panel schedules current and balance loads
• Install/maintain conduit, cable trays, and wiring
• Follow LOTO, arc flash, and OSHA protocols rigorously
• Record accurate work orders, logs, and maintenance notes

What You Need

• Journeyman Electrician License (Alabama or reciprocal state)
• 5+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
• Depth in:
  • Switchgear and distribution systems
  • High-voltage work (208V+)
  • PLC troubleshooting (ladder logic, I/O, controls) and programming proficiency
  • Generators and backup power
  • Electrical safety (LOTO, PPE, energized work practices)
• Self-starter who can independently tackle complex faults

Nice to Have

• 7+ years in industrial, manufacturing, or critical facilities
• Experience with:
  • 480V / 3-phase systems
  • ATS (automatic transfer switches)
  • Instrumentation and control wiring
  • BMS/BAS or industrial monitoring
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Familiar with NFPA 70E
