Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Since its founding in 1973, the original 59-bed, short-stay hospital has grown into a comprehensive acute care medical center with 226 licensed beds. We specialize in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education. In June 1998, Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins Medicine. In June 2023, the hospital was renamed Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.
Why Nurses Love Howard County Medical CenterThe Lead Clinical Nurse coordinates the total care for a group of patients throughout their stay to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes. The Lead Clinical Nurse is instrumental in mentoring and managing the clinical staff to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Serves as a clinical expert and manages an evolving clinical picture, including identifying impending changes in clinical condition and responds timely and appropriately. The Lead Clinical Nurse assumes responsibility and is accountable for overall unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Able to apply the principles of evidence‑based care and service excellence into practice.
Position DetailsSalary Range: Minimum $46.57/hour - Maximum $72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
