At Mariela, we cook with intent. Our kitchen is the next project from the team behind Mirra, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, led by James Beard–nominated chefs who care deeply about flavor, discipline, and craft. Mariela’s menu leans into global coastal flavors, thoughtful sourcing, and precise execution in an energetic, service-driven dining room.

We are hiring for AM PrepAM Breakfast Cook, and PM Line Cook roles to build a small, tight opening team. PM Line Cooks must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality-driven kitchens. We are flexible with scheduling and aim to accommodate as best as possible, with an average of 40 hours per week.

What you’ll do

  • AM Prep / Breakfast: handle organized prep, breakfast cookery, and opening responsibilities
  • PM Line: run a station with full ownership of mise en place, execution, and cleanliness during dinner service
  • Execute dishes to a high standard of consistency, timing, and seasoning
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and product quality standards at all times
  • Support a professional, calm, team-first culture on the line

What we’re looking for

  • AM roles: prior professional kitchen experience, strong work habits, and solid fundamentals
  • PM Line: minimum 3 years in scratch, chef-driven or high-volume quality kitchens
  • Strong knife work, clean station habits, and understanding of core techniques
  • Curiosity about flavor and ingredients, especially in coastal cuisines
  • Reliability, good communication, and openness to feedback
