Litigation Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a top AV-rated full-service law firm. The firm has been fortunate to represent many clients who are members of the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 lists of multinational corporations. We are currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4 to 7 years of Insurance Defense experience. 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of managing a full caseload from inception through trial preparation with minimal supervision. This is an opportunity to work on high-exposure cases involving product liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial disputes. Experience in construction defects is preferred but not required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of litigation files, ensuring compliance with all court deadlines and client litigation guidelines.
• Draft and respond to complex discovery; conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts (including medical and technical experts).
• Research, draft, and argue law and motion matters, including dispositive motions (MSJs), in California State and Federal Courts.
• Prepare timely and detailed status reports for insurance carriers and corporate clients, analyzing liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and informal settlement negotiations.
• Prepare cases for trial, including motions in limine, jury instructions, and witness preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 4 to 7 years of civil litigation experience. 
• Prior Insurance Defense experience required.
• Strong proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions.
• Familiarity with insurance carrier billing guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Detail-oriented, articulate, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000
• Plus, additional performance compensation
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.

• 1800 Billables

LOCATION:

• Long Beach, California (90802)
