Job Description

We are seeking an Experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to manage day-to-day legal operations and provide exceptional support to our attorneys and clients. This is a full-time, in-person position requiring independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and a professional demeanor.

Core Responsibilities

• Client & Court Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, court personnel, and legal professionals.
• Docketing & Scheduling: Manage complex, multi-party litigation calendars and attorney schedules.
• Document Drafting: Prepare and draft relevant pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Filing & Service: Serve, file, and e-file legal documents in Washington Superior Court, Federal Court, and the Court of Appeals.
• Records Management: Order, organize, and summarize medical and trial records.
• Office Operations: Cover the reception desk as a backup, answer phones, and keep file storage areas organized.
• Proactive Productivity: Maintain workflow during slower periods by auditing files, updating templates, or assisting team members.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of litigation legal assistant experience (preferred).
• Case Knowledge: Familiarity with the Vulnerable Adult Statute (VAS), Wrongful Death, and Medical Malpractice cases is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Customer Service: 1 year of professional customer service or front-desk experience (preferred).
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Paralegal degree or certificate preferred.
• Soft Skills: Absolute commitment to client confidentiality, strict attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Range: $21.60 to $26.44 per hour ($45,000 - $55,000 annualized equivalent), depending on experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shift).
• Breaks: Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks.
• Location: 100% In-Person.
