Revolution Flight is seeking an experienced Manager of Piston Aircraft Maintenance to support our rapidly growing Aerial Survey 206 Piston division, currently 25 aircraft. The successful candidate will possess a work ethic and technical expertise attained over years of working in various roles with increased responsibility and complexity. A strong and proven track record of managing maintenance personnel is required and this multifaceted position will require a self-motivated individual with a strong mechanical background and a proactive approach to their work.
The position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and inspection of piston-engine aircraft, managing a team of mechanics, and ensuring all work complies with aviation regulations and safety standards. This role involves a mix of administrative duties, such as scheduling maintenance and managing budgets, and technical oversight, including complex repairs and inspections. Key responsibilities include training staff, maintaining records, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the airworthiness and safety of the aircraft fleet. The successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of our industry (aviation) and specifically the Cessna 206.

*Responsibilities *
● Management and leadership:
* Supervise and lead a team of aircraft mechanics. * Train mechanics and manage their professional development. * Conduct performance evaluations and recommend hires. * Maintenance oversight: * Plan, coordinate, and direct all aspects of piston aircraft maintenance. * Oversee complex repairs, modifications, and routine maintenance tasks. * Perform visual and mechanical inspections to ensure airworthiness. * Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and ensure adherence to procedures. * Scheduling and logistics: * Develop and manage maintenance schedules to meet operational demands. * Ensure proper staffing levels and manage daily workflows. * Research, order, and manage the inventory of required parts and supplies. * Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-equipped maintenance base. * Compliance and record-keeping: * Ensure all maintenance activities comply with aviation regulations and company policies. * Maintain accurate and complete maintenance records. * Ensure mechanics' training and certifications are current
*Desired Skills & Experience*
● Minimum seven years of industry-related (Piston) experience
● Minimum five years in management
● Strong leadership and communication skills.
● Proficiency with computer software for record-keeping and scheduling.
● Knowledge of aircraft maintenance manuals, regulations, and technical schematics.
● Knowledge of the Cessna 206 capabilities and mission profile.
● Legally Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
● Clean driving record
*Licenses and Certifications *
● Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate
* Must have IA or be IA eligible.
● Pilots license a plus
*Education *
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanics, or other related degree is preferred.
● A combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
*Physical Demands *
● Frequent walking, standing, and sitting within the work area.
● Ability to work in and around an aircraft
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
● Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, et al.
*Work Environment *
● The work environment is that of an office position/hangar facility.
● The position requires working independently as well as part of a team.
● This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.
● Frequent use of a computer is necessary.
*Compensation:*
* Starting salary $100,000 - $110,000/yr depending on experience * Revolution Flight offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, PTO, 401(k), and professional development/advancement opportunities. * Weekly mentoring, quarterly coaching, and the chance to re-evaluate salary after one year.
